Doctitel: A Personal Health Companion for Seamless Care By Designabble

Challenges

The challenge was to design a user-friendly and secure medical health app that enabled users to receive medical advice from the comfort of their homes. The app needed to allow users to connect with healthcare professionals virtually, share their symptoms or medical concerns, and receive accurate and personalized medical advice.

Our Role

My role was to lead the design process and create a seamless user experience for the app. I worked closely with a multidisciplinary team, including product owners, doctors, and backend engineers. My objective was to design an intuitive interface that facilitated effective communication between users and healthcare professionals.

Kickoff Session

The kickoff session focused on gaining a clear understanding of the project goals and establishing a shared vision. We began by defining the problem statement, identifying our target audience, and discussing the desired outcomes of the app. Through collaborative brainstorming, we defined the core features and functionalities of the app. The session concluded with a shared understanding of the project scope, timeline, and deliverables.

Problem statement

In today’s fast-paced world, it can be time-consuming and inconvenient to access medical advice. Long wait times for appointments, busy schedules, and geographic constraints can prevent individuals from seeking timely medical help. Moreover, the COVID-19 pandemic has emphasized the need for remote healthcare solutions to minimize physical contact and reduce the risk of infection. Therefore, there is an increasing demand for a convenient, accessible, and reliable platform that allows users to receive medical advice from the comfort of their homes.

The platform's features are evaluated to meet user needs and expectations. Missing features are identified, and solutions are proposed. Outcome

Users gain effortless access to medical advice and essential healthcare services, all from the comfort of their own homes. By simplifying the process of booking appointments and facilitating online consultations, Doctitel empowers users to take charge of their health conveniently and confidently. Whether it's seeking medical advice or scheduling appointments with preferred healthcare providers.

Lessons Learned

Applying Lean UX principles in developing Doctitel's MVP facilitated rapid progress and user-centric design. Through continuous iteration and collaboration, we streamlined feature prioritization and refined the user experience efficiently. This approach ensured timely delivery of a valuable product that meets core user needs.
